The Bakersfield Yellow Jackets Athletics is a non-profit club designed to help athletes at the age 5-18. The club consists of about 400 local boys and girls who have dedicated themselves to running, playing basketball, and soccer at highly competitive levels. In addition to track, cross country, basketball, and soccer excellence, these children have developed more confidence, sportsmanship, self-esteem, and leadership skills to help guide them through life’s challenges and every day decisions in making their dreams become reality and by giving them the social tools in becoming the future leaders in our community. Now as of 2010 we have implemented a program to work with the physically and mentally challenged athlete’s. We invite them to be part of our family and to have a place to call home.
